We normally hear this phrase referring to love or romance but who would’ve thought this can also apply to investment?

The usual thinking when investing is, you buy now then wait for 10-20 years and the value of your stock will potentially appreciate. This is the same concept which led us to believe that the younger you start investing, the more risk you can take. Thought it still holds true, this doesn’t mean you cant start when you’re already in your 50’s or 60’s.
Sure, he may not be able to maximize the potential of his portfolio. So what? The important thing here is he doesn’t mind what the consensus says. He has a goal, which is to provide for his family, and he’s doing something about it. Legally!
